Responsibilities for this position include the following: · Creates and drives market, client and pursuit strategies in partnership with management · Develops and delivers on annual sales plan consistent with growth objectives · Establishes and maintains client relationships in support of new and ongoing sales · Implements effective sales and customer relationship management processes/tools · Leads the creation of high-quality marketing materials · Leads team formation and preparation of winning proposals · Effectively negotiates contracts and commercial terms · Keeps abreast of market and industry trends to identify growth opportunities · Maintains a database of key competitor capabilities and commercial competitiveness Travel within Canada will be required to cultivate new and ongoing business endeavors. Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications: · 4-year degree inEngineering, Science or Business (or equivalent) · 15+ years of diversifiedexperience, primarily in a business development capacity · 5+ years of experiencein a consulting business · Successful track recordof client engagement and winning work within Parsons' targeted client base/marketsectors, including the Canadian mining sector · Strong passion for building businesswithin Parsons' target area · Strong client relationships and abilityto interface at all levels within client organizations · Strengths in critical thinkingdemonstrated by opportunity identification, pre-positioning, proposaldevelopment, pricing, contract negotiations, closing sales and transitioningnew wins into operations · Strong organizational skills, withability to manage and prioritize several assignments simultaneously. · Energetic self-starter with abilityto prioritize · Ability to work independently and aspart of a team. · Excellent English communicationskills are essential (written, verbal, and presentation) · Proficient Microsoft Office computerskills
