We have an immediate opening for a talented, enthusiastic and client-focused Insurance Consultant to join our BC Region team. This position can be located in any of the following offices: Vancouver, New Westminster, Abbotsford, Prince George, Surrey, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Victoria and North Vancouver . What You Will Do: Reporting to the Regional manager, the Insurance Consultant is primarily responsible for identifying and implementing advanced permanent life insurance solutions for CMA members and other qualified clients, with a focus on wealth management strategies for high net worth individuals. This role supports the financial planning process offered by other MD Financial Consultants by building a referral relationship and through direct solicitation. You will be accountable for the identification, preparation and presentation of insurance solutions/recommendations to MD clients . This will include the provision of written output for clients as it relates to insurance needs analysis and the field underwriting process. An important aspect of your role will involve the education of others. You will actively promote insurance products and provide insurance wealth management training to MD Financial Consultants, enabling them to readily identify insurance opportunities within their client base . You will also conduct relevant insurance based seminars for CMA members and other qualified clients, as well as to a network of external professionals and associates (ie. accountants, lawyers). What You Need: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-10 years' experience as an Insurance Consultant, coupled with the Life License (LLQP) and a University degree in business or commerce. The Charter Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations are considered assets. You will also have experience with and understanding of life insurance and income products, knowledge of estate planning uses for life insurance and demonstrated capability with computer-based illustration and presentation software. What You Bring: Your in-depth knowledge of divisional and third party provider products will enable you to deliver a unique and competitively superior insurance experience, providing value to the Financial Consultant and their clients.
