Cube Business Media is a rapidly-growing conference company, founded to generate connections, build content, and create communities. Currently Cube produces and manages several annual events across Canada in the tech and fashion retail sectors, among others. Cube Business Media Inc is looking for an experienced, professional and motivated B2B sales representative to help grow our sales and lead generation capacity! The individual will be responsible for generating and developing viable leads by proactively pursuing new customers and business opportunities via phone, email, face-to-face and marketing tools. The position will be based in North Vancouver, Canada and reporting to the VP and President of Cube. Your Responsibilities: Sponsorship and Exhibit Sales - Initiate diverse outbound programs to contact new potential exhibitors and sponsors for all events. Respond to, qualify, and convert occasional incoming sponsorship and exhibit opportunities. Manage their accounts year-round. Lead Generation - Research and compile qualified sales leads. Track and maintain lead lists. Industry Knowledge - Proactively seek new business opportunities through industry research. Detailed Record Keeping - Update sales database with information regularly. Track and report all sales activities to senior executives and show managers. Face-to-face meetings/events - Attend conferences and events as designated by management, with occasional travel. Manage and establish relationships with clients and source new business opportunities. Required Skills and Expertise: 5+ years experience in sales (retail, phone, call center or telemarketing), preferably in the fashion and/or technology industries. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Superior relationship building and interpersonal skills Strong desire and ability to quickly learn about multiple products and to switch gears on different projects on a daily basis Self-motivated, confident, competitive, detailed-oriented, and big appetite for high achievement in lead generation Team player with ability to work independently Enthusiasm, positive attitude, and a "can do" attitude Proficiency in MS Office Suite Preference will be given to candidates with: Tradeshow and/or sponsorship sales experience Technical background and familiarity with SaaS Experience and/or interest in lifestyle fashion, action sports, and retailing Experience in the B2B space What we offer: Cube Business Media offers a fast-paced, dynamic team-based work environment. This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to work from our North Vancouver location with some remote work flexibility after extended tenure.
