OEC Group's office located in St-Laurent, Qc is currently looking for a skilled individual who will bring air freight import and pricing experience.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Air Import Manager, the Air Import Supervisor has the following main responsibilities:

  • Supervise air import operations and personnel: assist Air Import Manager in operation planning, organization, control, employee training and evaluations
  • Receive customers' requests and prepare sales rate quotations
  • Answer customers: logistic solutions pricing; problems or complaints resolution; inside sales; price negotiations (carriers and customers); escalate customer service issues to the manager
  • Timely resolve customer complaints, or internal operation issues and implement measures to prevent their frequency and recurrence
  • Provide assistance to improve products and services
  • Apply corporate policies and ensure compliance with established corporate procedures, among employees supervised
  • Improve on an ongoing basis internal systems processes and procedures in order to favor customer service and departmental internal efficiency
  • Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Air Import Manager


Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in air freight import operation and pricing
  • Good knowledge of the Air import processes and regulations
  • Customer service oriented
  • Understands the importance of team work and of maintaining harmonious and collaborative relations with his/her superiors, working colleagues and other departments' or stations' personnel
  • Person meticulous and accountable
  • Leadership skills
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workload assigned in an efficient manner
  • Must have strong skill sets in utilizing excel, and other MS office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and in French, verbal and written
