Job Description 2 JOB LOCATIONS: Will RELOCATE FOR BOTH: Clairmont, AB & Winnipeg, MB What can Fleet Brake offer you? Reports to : Shop Foreman Responsibilities: Health & Safety Ensure compliance to the published company Health and Safety Policies Ensure compliance to the published Shop Policies Housekeeping Ensure equipment, tools and work areas are organized Keep personal tools in safe working manner-repair/replace worn and defective tools as needed Inspect shop tools & equipment prior to every use. Tag/write up defects Document monthly tool & equipment checks Test drive units as required (if licensed) Operations: Follow check lists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer's performance specifications Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions Replace and adjust headlights; rewire lights and instrument panels Install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices Repair or replace shock absorbers and suspension components Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear , using micrometers, calipers and gauges Overhaul or replace turbo alternators, starters and pumps Diagnose and repair air system Repair manual and automatic transmissions; radiator leaks Align vehicles' front ends Communication: Review work orders and discuss work with Supervisor Document descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repairs Any other duties assigned by the supervisor not far outside my expertise and training.
