Our permitted hazardous waste treatment facility, located outside of Princeton, BC, utilizes thermal desorption technology to treat a wide range of industrial waste and contaminated soil. ETL is looking for a motivated Heavy-Duty Mechanic with proven experience to join our team. The Heavy-Duty Mechanic works under the direction of the Facility Manager and any assigned Supervisors and works with other employees within the company to ensure safe work practices and policies, compliances and regulations are adhered. Main responsibilities will include; perform a full range of maintenance, repair, and service activities on heavy equipment and other mobile equipment. Make decisions related to troubleshooting and parts replacement. Participate in required training programs including, but not limited to, WHMIS, TDG, confined space entry and rescue, fall protection, fire extinguisher use, first aid, mobile equipment awareness, aerial work platform, etc. General labour duties as required. Qualifications: Valid class 5 BC driver's license and a clean driver's abstract Minimum 4 years driving experience 3-ton truck or larger driving experience preferred Able to lift 50Ibs (22 kg), stand and move for an 8 hour shift Previous warehouse experience (and/or forklift experience) is an asset but not required Excellent customer service skills, professionalism Wants to excel Is able to work independently or as part of a team, and requires minimal supervision Is motivated towards continuous learning and personal development Job Responsibilities: Deliver stock and customer transfers in our 3 ton truck or van to KMS stores in the GVRD region Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws Ensure product is transported safely and securely, strapping product when necessary Keep KMS vehicles clean, safe and regularly maintained Provide outstanding customer service in a helpful, professional manner Learn and become proficient with our operating systems - and other various tools Assist with any other areas of the warehouse as necessary Work hard to "get it done" and have fun doing so! This is a full time position for a career minded person. Must be available Monday-Friday. 4-5 years of driving experience is required. 2 years 3-ton truck driving experience preferred.
