Job Description Located in vibrant downtown Montreal, eXplorance is a rapidly growing software company recognized for its unique workplace culture. Currently, we are looking for a talented, energetic and dedicated person to join our Deployment and Integration team. The role is responsible for deploying eXplorance's web applications for our customers, consulting with customers on know how best to integrate eXplorance's application with 3rd-party systems, as well as continue to evolve and optimize the process. This role will also require some technical Customer Support duties, particularly when troubleshooting an integration or system level problem. What you will do as our new Deployment and Integration Engineer Serve as a single point of contact while effectively and cooperatively providing superior service and problem resolution Create service requests and properly document all customer interactions and troubleshooting actions in the department's case management system Configure and implement new functionalities in eXplorance's software solutions Log, prioritize, research, and accurately resolve complex customer inquiries and problems in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding SLAs Lead new implementations, integrations, installations, upgrades, and migrations of existing customer systems Integration with customer IT systems such as SSO, LMS, SIS Provide basic technical and web application training to new customers when required Communicate and coordinate with internal departments when addressing software bugs or new releases Occasionally perform Quality Assurance tasks for testing of new software versions Follow procedures and continually improve internal processes for maintenance of solutions that are in production Collaborate with developers and QA teams for high-quality on time delivery Standardize, automate, and continuously improve and adapt deployment processes Develop and maintain technical knowledge-base for the deployment services department Liaisons with the Professional Services team to ensure all installation and integration are completed on time and to specifications Follow up with unsatisfied customers to ensure issues are resolved and the customers are satisfied Build relationships with the operational and technical department management of key customers If you answer 'yes' to the following, you'd be a great fit for the position of Deployment and Integration Engineer Exceptional Customer Service focus 5 years' experience in IT related field Relevant technical work experience deploying web applications in IIS including server and network administration Experience with system integration, good understanding of product architecture, infrastructure components, databases, cloud systems, and virtualization Experience working with Microsoft Server 2012/2014, MSSQL 2014,2016 IIS 7.5/IIS 8 Experience with software development and/or scripting languages (PowerShell) Good understanding of HTML, CSS and XML Proactive maintenance on hosting/SaaS infrastructure Application performance monitoring Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a problem-solving environment Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with client interaction experience at executive levels Ability to handle difficult or sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact Excellent time management and organizational skills Creative and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to quickly learn new technologies and to troubleshoot technical problems Attention to details English and French (both verbal and written) Passion for helping customers with strong customer service skills Technical or Business Diploma in related field Experience working with APIs, especially SOAP APIs Nice to Have: Technical certifications: Microsoft Experience with various Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Canvas, Sakai, D2L, Moodle) Experience with authentication solutions (LDAP, CAS, Shibboleth, ADFS) Knowledge/Experience working with cloud offerings such as Microsoft Azure or AWS Experience working with SANs Other languages a plus Availability: Must be willing to work outside of "normal" business hours (i.e. evenings, nights, weekends) to provide support coverage for our international customers (24/7 Pager/On-Call Rotation) Company Description Building for the future - this is at the heart of everything we do at eXplorance.
